Tom Papadatos,born in NYC started playing drums in his sophomore year at Pascack Valley High School after being cut from the varsity baseball team. He went on to perform in the concert band, ,jazz band and marching band. After graduating, it was off to Berkelee College of Music where he earned a bachelor's degree in Performance. He has studied with Jazz greats Joe Morello, Sal Larocca,Tommy Igoe & Alan Dawson. Additionally he has studied with Matt Johnson (Jeff Buckley, John Mayer, Josh Kelly), Freddy Gruber & Dom Famularo.

     He has been performing as a free-lance musician in the New York area for the last ten years and has toured,Indonesia,Singapore,China and Europe with various artists,additionally he's toured with several modern dance companies including PerksDanceMusicTheatre and  Attack Theatre(creators of the   Broadway show "squonk") and has worked as a drummer for a wide range of artists in the pop, rock, classical crossover and Jazz genres including ediblered,Sasha Lazard,Jason Green,Arthur Neilson,Popa Chubby,Gina Sicilia,Dave Gross,Big Ed Sullivan,Lucia Micarelli,  David Chesky, Elektra, BD Lenz, Dave Eggar,  Meg Okura(PanAsianChamberJazz Ensemble) Jennifer Richman .He has been a featured artist/educator for the last 6 years for Lincoln Center's Meet the Artist Series  with their "Hooked on Classics" program, which introduces children to classical and Jazz music. He has been a drummer/artist in residence in many art centers throughout America including the John Michael Kohler Center for the Arts in Wisconsin, Quad City Arts Presenters, Center for Contemporary Art, St. Louis, New Orleans Center for the Arts,Virginia Beach Center for the Arts, and  Peter Britt Festival. He has recorded on the Chesky, Columbia Japan, and Select record labels and  played  a session  with Jazz artists Gil Goldstein and Jon Pattitucci. Locally, he plays for many talented singer songwriters and in many jazz ,rock, blues bands .
