| April 2008 Updating my website is not my strong point but I vow to get better at it : ) Alot has happened this past year.I toured Indonesia,Singapore and China with blues guitarist Hugh Pool.The experience was amazing ,travelling to these countries to play American blues/roots music.Interacting with the local people was a great experience ,especially in Indonesia,these folks were so grateful to that we were there playing this music for them.Their spirit is beautuful ,considering some of the conditions that these people live in.We were there right after tremendous flooding ,houses,businesses and roads were distroyed and there people always came out with a smile on their face.It was very humbling and inspiring. I also toured Holland twice with my band ,ediblered,the shows went great and we were interviewed on a National radio station.We are planning on going back in November for a longer tour. My teaching is going strong ,I have some great students and it's always inspiring to watch them grow .One of my students' band just got signed to Universal records,that's pretty exciting for me being that I started him from the beginning.Some have done recordings and are currently gigging and some have even taken on students of their own,that's pretty cool!! I have been playing gigs with some great artists including Jason Green,Dave Eggar,Gina Sicilia,BD Lenz,Jennifer Richman,Dennis Gruelling,Jake Walker,Yanko Valdez,Spiros Soukis,Dave Gross and many many more. August 17th 2006 WOW,it's been awhile since i'v been on here last.A lot has happened in the past few months.We finally finished up the edible red cd,the release date looks like it is going to be sometime at the end of January.We will be shooting a video sometime in September for a October release date. On another note I had the honor of playing on my friends'(now famous friend ,Dave Eggar,who is know playing with EVANESCENCE) cd ,and on the track that i played on was none other than JOHN PATITUCCI,one of my favorite bass players,my first exposure to John's playing was the first Chick Corea Electrik band with Dave Weckl.I walked into the studio and was in another world,i couldn't beleive i was going to be recording with him.It was an amazing experience and he is the nicest guy you could ever meet. Also playing on the song was GIL GOLDSTEIN ,the amazing pianist/arranger ,i used to go see him play with the Gil Evans orchestra.His solo was amazing and he also is a great guy.THANKS DAVE!!!!! This summer i have also been playing a bunch with Jason Green a phenomenal guitarist.We have a steady gig at 17 located at 17 murray st in NYC ,it happens every Thursday and Friday evenings from 5:00-10:00.We've also been playing a bunch of other gigs and we just recorded a demo of some of the songs we've been playing. Some of the other great paople i have been playing with this summer have been,BD Lenz,Spiros Soukis,Joe Tiano,Dave Gross,Dennis Grueling and a bunch of others......... In September i'm getting ready to go to the QUAD CITYS ,in the midwest for a 3 week residency with Dave Eggar to play a series of concerts and give some clinics sponsored by Lincoln Center for the MEET THE ARTIST program Next time i get back here Autumn will be approaching and we will have forgotten about this sweltering summer.

I just realized that i'm not that good in updating my website,it's been FOUR months WOW.... Anyway I'v had a few really cool months playing with some very talented musicians.I'm happy to say that we (edible red)http://www.ediblered.com/ will finally be finishing up our official debut cd (we've had cd's put out in the past ,but this will be shrink wrapped and bar coded ,we are getting professional here ,pertty scary) We have 6 dates booked to mix it.We're shooting for a February 2006 release date ,it will be put out on our label, Select Records.
July 17 2005 Well in just about a week i'll be playing with my band edible red at our signing party to celebrate our deal with Select records.Select is a small indie label. We are extremely excited about this.We have been grinding it out or about 6 years.There have been many ups and downs ,hopefully we can remain on the upswing for a while.We'll have the full band with us (for the past year we have been using a lot of subs,most of them have been great )finally!!!!!!!! it's such a great feeling when we all play together.Dave our master cellist who has really hit it big time this year playing with Josh Groban,Michael Brecker,David Sanborn and writing a song with Nelly Furtado(did i spell that right) will also be joining us, he ROCKS... We will be having an after party with free food(really good food, i guess Asian Fusion is the correct term to describe it) at Forbidden City ,it's on Ave A bet 13th and 14th st. I'll have to get the exact address.The gig is at Arlene's grocery 95 Stanton st. (bet. orchard & Ludlow) 9:30 pm Tues. 7/26..
May 23 Wow i haven't written any news in a while...There are some pretty cool things happening.This week Collette and I will be meeting with Select records to figure what songs will be on the upcoming edible red record. Also i will be playing with a great band,SWAMPADELICA, at a really cool festival,The Crawfish Fest(for more info check out my gigs page) The Meters will be headlining the festival.I'm totally stoked about that because 1.i'v never seen them and 2.they are one of the funkiest bands ever.If you're not familiar with them ,check them out...
March 15 2005 i think the edible red tracks are finally done.....
March 10 2005 getting ready to go into the studio with edible red tomorow.We are going to track the last 3 songs for our record.FINALLY !!!!!!!!! i let you know how it turns out .
February 2005 I will be traveling to Houston, Texas with the Attack Theater Dance Company for 6 days in mid-February. Should be a nice change from this snow & cold. January 2005 Happy New Year...I will be in the studio with edible red finishing up the tracking and mixing of our new cd. It has been going very smoothly, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that it get finished soon. Check the gigs page, some, some cool stuff is happening.
